Peace and what up beautiful people. The time is 11:23pm on a fine Friday the 13th. I'm currently at the center of my universe (mi casa). Of course, I have Jay Electronica pumping through my speakers. The song is "Ghost of Soulja Slim". I'm going to get into that later. I want to educate a bit on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) then do my usual by diving into music and give an update on what I've cooked.
What is Coronavirus? “Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are common in people and many different species of animals, including camels, cats and bats. Rarely, animal coronaviruses can infect people and then spread between people such as with SARS.” (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/summary.html#anchor_1580079137454) Coronavirus is a communicable disease. What does that mean might you ask…? It is very contagious… ask Rudy Gobert… lol. Based on a few things I’ve read, a person with a healthy immune system can make a full recovery from this disease. People that are most susceptible to fatalities from the disease are those with compromised immune systems. What does this mean for you?... Please consider others and take the necessary precautionary measures by washing your hands, sneezing or coughing in your sleeve (not your hand). I’ll leave another link to FAQs about COVID-19. I finally cooked… well it wasn’t anything new but I cooked a soup lol. Yep… ya boy cooked a soup… not really much to expound upon… It’s was good and I will cook something outside of my normal catalog of things I’m used to cooking… Imma just jump into music before I lose you guys’ attention (smiling showing my teeth) lol. I’ve listened to the entire Jay Electronica album well over 7 times. This album was masterfully done. I was asked by one my homies that I with vibe on the music, “Does Hov being a major part of the album make a difference in how I feel about the project?” When playing spades and you need one more book to not go under and you have the big joker… You’re going to use the big joker. Hov on this album, in my opinion, is essentially the wild draw 4 card that you didn’t have to use but you used it as a flex… lol Hov is amazing aging like wine lyrically and Jay Electronica can definitely hold his own as a supreme lyricist. I love the project and hope there is more from both soon and not 15 years. Also, in the music bag, Kamasi Washington is one of the dopest, not even considering his tribute to the late great Mccoy Tyner. Thundercat is also someone I think is dope with a super chill vibe.
